SCI Staff Enjoy Summer Family Fun Day

On a wonderfully bright and sunny Sunday in June the staff of SCI took a break from all their hard work and came together to enjoy a day of fun, food and activities – the first in far too long!

Taking place at a lovely location in Sussex, the team came with partners and children in tow to create an entertaining and frantic event that was enjoyed by all who came.

A delicious lamb roast was the centrepiece of a wonderful feast, with plenty of wine and beer also flowing (including alcohol free!).

Many soft drinks and bowls of ice cream were also devoured as well, fuelling all of the sports and games being played throughout the day.

This included many sets of tennis, and lots of footballs being kicked around – with Wimbledon and Euro 2016 starting this month, what could have been more appropriate?

And, with the sun beating down, both young and old took full advantage of the swimming pool on offer to help cool off from the very hot weather.

All in all, it was a fantastic day, with many of the children lamenting it was over and asking if they could come again next weekend!

Maybe not so soon…but we promise we won’t leave it as long until the next one.
