Replacing Old Aluminium with Sliding Sash Windows
We always encourage our customers to sympathetically restore their properties. Putting standard casement windows into a period property will just not do. This project is replacing old aluminium with sliding sash windows and as you can see they look fantastic!
These windows were in an older property in Kingston Upon Thames.
Ultimate Rose MK2 PVCu sliding sash windows, in white woodgrain, with fully mechanical joints, a deep bottom rail and slim mid rail. Woodgrain also helps to add to the authenticity of the PVCu windows.
Our customer wanted to change their old aluminium windows to vertical sliding sash windows in their lounge bay and the two windows upstairs. This install is a great example of how the Ultimate Mk2 windows can change the look of a property. As well as looks, the new windows massively outperform the old single pane windows in terms of noise reduction, functionality and insulation. We can see from the before and after pictures just how much the Mk2’s have changed the appearance of the property, making it look more traditional whilst keeping all the benefits of a modern window.
An arched head with square windows have been installed. The void on the arch was too big to just run a trim around so we scribed a 45mm trim up then ran trim around to give it a clean look with no rough edges coming through the silicone. Great care was taken with this, as with all our window installations.
SCI has been doing this for over 30 years. With around 10,000 satisfied replacement window and door customers, SCI has thrived on quality, innovation and customer care. Our customers appreciate the no pressure, no hassle approach and commitment to service – long after the installation has been completed. SCI has always relied on word of mouth and recommendation rather than advertising.
