Woodgrain Sliding Sash Windows

With so many period properties in and around South London, these woodgrain sliding sash windows are extremely popular. Combining a period look but with the security and low maintenance that comes with high quality PVCu windows, this is an exceptional choice.

The sliding sash installation was for our customers in New Esher in Surrey.

Products Used

Ultimate Mk2 PVC Vertical sliding sash windows with white woodgrain finish, fully mechanical joints, deep bottom rail, slim mid rail and run-thru horns. 4 of the sash windows are arched at the top. The glass has decorative astragal running vertically down the centre of the units and satin glass has been used in the bottom sash in the bathroom window for privacy.

Using a sheet of mdf we used the windows to template the arched head then screwed on flush to the window. We then ran our 70mm architraves around with clean mitres and primed all the mdf, which created a really clean finish.
